Ethics in the medical profession

Recently the Minister of Health and Child Care, Dr David Parirenyatwa s bemoaned the slump in ethical standards practiced by some nursing staff in the country’s government hospitals......

There have however been so many complaints from the public most of whom contend that nurses’ ethical standards have deteriorated to unprecedented levels.

Dr Parirenyatwa said government is aware of those complaints and is working towards addressing the issue. Speaking at the graduation ceremony of nurses at Mpilo Central Hospital, the Minister said a committee chaired by Dr Samkange has been set up to find ways of re-instilling ethical behaviour among the medical staff.
Meanwhile, 101 general nurses and 120 midwives graduated after going through the Mpilo School of Nursing. Dr Parirenyatwa said his ministry will continue to lobby for improved conditions of service as well as staffing levels for all health workers. http://www.mohcc.gov.zw/component/content/article/9-uncategorised/296-govt-bemoans-nurses-unethical-behaviour
