The University of Zimbabwe library is situated on the 3rd floor inside the Mpilo Hospital, Mzilikazi Bulawayo. It serves students from the University of Zimbabwe, medical students from other universities as well as medical and allied professionals. With a collection of over 5000 print books and a number of printed journals it has been the medical library of choice in the Matabeleland region of Zimbabwe.

Our library boast of being always clean and neat due to the efforts of our cleaner/ door guard who works tirelessly to ensure that the library is presentable.

The UZ Mpilo library branch receives great support from our donors who donate books and journals. A big donor is The Book Aid International who have continued to support our library through donations of new books. These donations have helped to update our collection and have proved very popular with our users. Thank you Book Aid International.
